I don't think Digimon Heroes can be called social game however but it has mecanics from those type of games. I haven't played DQ Monsters Super Light but it's more like Digimon Heroes in which friends gives you "buff". Normally the base of the social aspect is giving you stuff or comparing yourself in a leaderboard. You have your "garden" / house / bases and you can visit your friend's garden/whatevs but you don't see them really, it's asynchronous (don't know the word in english, so not sure if it the right word, it's asynchrone in french) so you see an "IA" simulating your friend and your garden. Sims Social, FarmVille, NearlyEveryZyngaGame. It can affect ALL actions or it can affect a certain type of actons, I hope it's not for all actions as it makes a game really tedious.Ī social game is a game based around your friends. That's normally what it's for and when you don't have any energy left, you have to wait 20/40/60+ minutes to replenish itself (or you can pay). The energy system maybe for doing actions. Well yes, Farmville looks like what you've described (I haven't played either but from what I know and those type of games, it's this). I hope energy isnt used for multiplayer battles or for caring for your digimon and is only used for upgrading your farm or possible training minigames.ītw what's a social game? A game in which you and your friends can play co-op, visit eachothers houses/bases, send messages, form alliances, etc or just a game that has you log in using a social network account and lets you pick an AI controlled partner based on an actual player that you otherwise have no interaction with whatsoever (like DQ Monsters Super Light or Digimon Heroes)?

No confirmation on an English release though. In one of the trailers there was what seemed to be a meat farm being upgraded, and what looked like two currency meters (one with a + next to it so its probably a premium currency) and a possible energy system. The upcoming Digimon Linkz seems to be a v-pet with a digifarm and turn based battles running on the cyber sleuth engine. I never played farmville but isnt it like, you gain resources as time passes, you use them to build stuff, building stuff lets you gain resources faster and build more stuff, you can pay (or spam your friends on facebook) to get resources faster, and a lot of stuff are timed events? I would assume they'll add elements of that to your personal digifarm, and the resources can be used for raising your digimon too.
